The Isuzu 3.0L turbo-diesel engine delivers the legendary power and towing strength for the MU-X, engineered to perform with confidence in the toughest conditions.
3.5 Tonne Towing Capacity
With a towing capacity of up to 3,500kg, Isuzu's legendary 3-litre turbo diesel engine delivers high torque, making light work of a caravan, boat, or trailer. Trailer Sway Control (TSC) assists with towing in high winds or on uneven surfaces.
Off-Road Ready
The New Look MU-X go-anywhere ability provides you with an SUV that is as at home up in the backcountry hills as it is out on State Highway One. Wading depth is 800mm for those extra deep crossings, and the New Look MU-X includes a rear differential lock for improved traction on slippery surfaces. The New Look MU-X brings an entire new level of technology. As standard, the New Look MU-X has a 9.0" touchscreen with inbuilt satellite navigation, 360 surround view camera system, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto phone mirroring capability - allowing you to project sat nav directions, play your music, make and receive calls and more. For the owner that spends plenty of time on the open road, the New Look MU-X also includes adaptive cruise control which automatically adjusts your speed depending on the vehicle in front of you.

Standard across the range, Isuzu’s Intelligent Driver Assistance System (IDAS) technology includes an extensive list of both active and passive safety systems. Employing state-of-the-art sensors and a stereo camera, IDAS constantly monitors your surrounding environment for danger. Should it detect a collision is imminent, the system will work to help the driver to defuse dangerous situations via alert systems and automated functions. Each MU-X model includes eight airbags as standard and a stronger, more robust chassis, as well as a reinforced cabin safety cell for ultimate protection.
And to prove its credentials, the all-new MU-X has achieved a 5-star ANCAP safety rating. The MU-X is there to look after you no matter what the situation.

When Traffic Sign Recognition detects a new speed sone, the IACC can change the vehicle speed and can activate the brakes when brake lights are detected ahead.
Driver Attention Assist
Driver Attention Assist continuously monitors steering inputs and driving behaviour to detect signs of fatigue or distraction. If it senses reduced alertness, it provides an audible and visual warning, helping you stay focused on every journey.
Lane Keep Assist
The Lane Keep Assist system is designed to detect road lane markings and assist steering operation by keeping your vehicle in its lane while Adaptive Cruise Control is engaged. This feature can be disabled.
Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver when the vehicle starts to drift out of the current lane. This feature can also be disabled via the Lane Support System Switch.
Blind Spot Monitoring System
Extra eyes where you need them most. Blind Spot Monitoring identifies vehicles approaching from behind in an adjacent lane and provides a clear warning.
Mis-Acceleration Mitigation
Misacceleration Mitigation helps prevent unintended acceleration at low speeds. If an obstacle is detected ahead and sudden throttle input is applied, the system reduces engine output to help avoid or minimise a potential collision.
Autonomous Emergency Braking
Isuzu's Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is a core component of its IDAS (Intelligent Driver Assistance System), using stereo cameras to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists to prevent or mitigate collisions. It provides audible/visual warnings before automatically applying brakes if the driver fails to react.
